Rocío: Thoughts are seeds. They all have the potential to become trees if watered well. Starting to smoke happened with a single thought. Maybe it was ours, or a friend’s, or the trendy television show. One thought that we accepted to water at that moment in time. Stopping, therefore, is accomplished in the same way. Just one thought: “I’m not going to smoke.” Only now the thought of “I’m going to smoke” has grown from seed to tree, and this means that it has weight, energetically. The tree asks to be watered. The thought asks to stay alive, and that is why it asks to be watered. If we understand this principle of the mind, and the need to take care of the inner garden, we can water or stop watering whatever thought we propose. Always remembering that the one who waters is the master, and not the slave of the garden. If the master is absent, the garden will grow wild and what is in it will no longer be our choice. But if we want to live a conscious life, we must choose what we want in the garden and what we do not want. The problem is that a certain tree has grown so big that now we don’t know who the tree is and who I am. We may even be in love with the tree. But like any toxic relationship, being in love with something that is harming our interior, blackening our airways and leading our cells to death, is never a relationship that we should maintain, no matter how much the tree says otherwise.

In the inner garden of our mind, we can water or stop watering any thought that we propose.
  • Recognizing the negative of what I am attached to is the first step to letting go. Dare to see the truth, the contamination it causes inside you.

  • The second step is to recognize the positive. As in any toxic relationship, it is difficult to let go because there is something that it gives me something that is good for me. Tobacco is capable of calming the mind even for a moment. Who doesn’t need a break, a pause, between all the thoughts that come to mind each day? Especially in this hectic and stressed society we live in. However, there are better ways to relax, easier ways, without depending on substances, 100% good for our body and mind and also free. You can learn them with us. They are easy and for everyone.

  • The third step is to make the decision and committing to it, no matter what. Even if you break your promise, do it again until you can get there completely. There are those who make the decision and quit smoking forever that same day, and those who make it and achieve it in a period of 1 or 3 months. It doesn’t matter how you get there, this will depend on your personality, but the important thing is to get there, no matter what.

    Remember that the tree of that grown thought will fight for its survival asking to be watered. Remember to ignore it. You are not him. You are his master. Choose to water that other thought of “I’m not going to smoke” and you will see that it grows and grows until it becomes bigger than the previous one, and far surpasses it.

    It may help you to repeatedly and exaggeratedly think about the negative things about tobacco.

    And a great last key: Allow yourself to change… change friendships, change your personality, change habits, going out, environments…

    Real new ways to have a good time await you. And they will give you 100% of your health and your freedom.
